New York State Anti-Discrimination Laws

As of June 2019, the anti-discrimination provisions of the New York State Human Rights Law protects both public and private school students from discrimination, harassment or bullying on the basis of  race, color, religion, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, sex, age or marital status. 

Asher  Gaughran P.C. can intervene on your behalf with the State Division of Human Rights, which is now authorized to investigate and remedy discrimination in public schools.  This law now provides our firm with yet another way to vindicate your child's right to attend school free of discrimination and harassment.
